The Bhagavad Gita is the ace Scripture proving to be a veritable guiding force of the entire humanity. This was given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna on the Kurukshetra battle field.

In the month of December Samskrita Bharati conducts Gita Shibiram (4-days residential camp) to create awareness
about Our Scriptures in general and the Bhagavad Gita in particular. This is the 15^th consecutive year of the camp.

Venue: Kola Perumal Chetty Vaishnava School, Arumbakkam, Chennai from 22 to 25 December for 4 days.

GITA SHIBIRAM – AN APPEAL

Samskrita Bharati is an NGO dedicated to the
propagation of Samskritam. Our main activities include 10 day Spoken Samskritam
classes, Teacher’s Training camps, Gita Shibiram, Samskritam through
Correspondence, Book publication, Science & Samskritam Exhibitions, etc.

 

Since 15 years every year in December we conduct
Gita Shibiram (Residential camp) to create awareness about our scriptures in
general and Bhagavad Gita in particular. This year the camp would be held in Kolaperumal
Chetty Vaishnava School, Arumbakkam, Chennai, from 22^nd  to 25^th December 2012. We expect about
200 participants. The total cost of for the camp is estimated to be about Three
lakh rupees (averaging about Rs.1,500/- per participant). To promote Samskrit
to all classes of people, we do not charge the participants the cost incurred
in conducting the camp. The breakup of the total expenses is as follows:
